FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Shelia Mitchell's Photographic Abstracts on display at Christine Margurite Gallery

July 7, 2006 --

Christine Margurite Designs opens the inaugural one-woman exhibition of the fantastic photography of Sheila Mitchell, to run through August. Mitchell’s work is an unpredictable investigation of color and shape, reminiscent of the most confident of seasoned abstract painters.  Mitchell’s grasp of her medium coupled with an innately tuned eye produce explosions of color and light that is a most breathtaking and mesmerizing surprise.

Linda Kozloff-Turner, the owner and creative force of Christine Margurite Designs, has been selling her jewelry on Pearl Street since 1975.  Most recently, Kozloff-Turner was a top-selling sales associate at the former Maclaren Markowitz Gallery, during which tenure she was able to have Colorado artist, Jim Pittman, placed in the Denver Art Museum, thus solidifying her long-term relationship with the Colorado art community.

On Friday, July 7, from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Kozloff-Turner once again lends her eye, talent, drive, and experience to continue her quest to chronicle the abundance of imagination available in our corner of the globe.
