Christine Margurite Opens Gallery in BoulderTop selling jeweler back on Pearl StreetJanuary 1, 2006 -- Christine Margurite Designs has opened a retail gallery space at 1813 Pearl Street, within Nomad Designs. Featuring spectacular custom jewelry, and now contemporary art, Christine Margurite offers the visitor a marvelous visual experience. Christine Margurite jewelry has been available for years at several galleries across the United States from Key West to Boulder. Following the closure of the MacLaren Markowitz Gallery, where Christine Margurite had been one of the top selling lines, a new outlet was needed in Boulder. Christine Margurite’s owner, Linda Kozloff-Turner has had a long standing friendship with Jacob March, the owner of Nomad Bead and Design. Nomad had two other businesses operating in the space at 1813 Pearl. In 2005, the other two businesses had decided to move, this freed up a large beautiful space which opened as Christine Margurite in January 2006 Featuring fresh ideas daily, there is always something new to see in the various lines of jewelry. Using inspiration from great artists to create jewelry, her artist series calls to mind famous paintings by her inspired use of gems to recreate the artists color pallet. Another series is based on natural objects, leaves, flowers, sea life etc. Yet another line of her work uses sacred objects or icons from spiritual traditions. Gallery owner Linda Kozloff-Turner has been making jewelry on Pearl Street since 1975, and has a master’s degree from CU. Linda offers classes in jewelry design and metalsmithing, and will produce custom rings bracelets and necklaces upon request at a reasonable cost. Linda also will do expert jewelry repair, and art consulting and installation.
